Reflection 3 (my kids and technology)

Tonight while eating ice cream after my middle son's music program, my oldest heard us talking about computer viruses. We explained to him how a computer gets "sick" and that some viruses are so bad, your computer won't work any more. He really seemed to understand and will now be on the look out for suspicious emails. This conversation is not the first we have had with him. He is very interested in technology and has picked up on the lingo quickly. My husband and I laugh at times when we are talking to our children about iphones and apps to put on them, Nintendo DS (which he desperately wants), or any other type of technology in our house. It's a whole new generation!

  1. It's so true though! These pieces of technology have become such an integral part of our lives, it's insane. I suppose it must be interesting, parenting in an age where kids have access to so much more technology than we could've thought of when we were that age.

Cathy, I am so glad you are here and am glad to get to know you. Blessings to you and your family!

  2. Cathy, I can totally relate to this story. I nanny a four year old boy that has all these hand me downs of technology equipment, and he absolutley loves it. He wants to use mommy and daddy tools like mommy and daddy. It is completely intriguing to me! This class will probably enable you to teach your kids more about technology. Thanks for sharing.
